Don’t Turn Summertime Fun into Summertime Danger! – Volume 3

In Summer Sense Volume 1, we talked about the different mechanisms the body uses to lose excess heat, the environmental conditions that can cause them to not work, and the resulting heat-related illnesses that can arise. In Summer Sense Volume 2, we discussed some of the conditions and medications that can make one prone to develop a heat-related illness.

Dr. Daniel Sousa honored as 2022 Community Clinician of the Year

Congratulations to Dr. Sousa! The Massachusetts Medical Society awarded Dr.  Sousa, a pulmonologist and critical care practitioner, with its 2022 Community Clinician of the Year for the Bristol South District. The annual recognition is given for a physician’s professionalism and contributions to medicine. We are proud to have him here at Truesdale Health.

Funding health and safety for Fall River kids — again

The Truesdale Health Foundation will be donating $2500 worth of bicycle helmets to Mass in Motion-Fall River in 2021. The exercise- and health-minded Mass in Motion will distribute approximately 250 helmets to young Fall River bike riders.
