Our growth since our founding in 2014 by the Truesdale Health Board of Directors has been based on a bedrock philosophy of supporting health in the local community. We believe that youth sports and other activities that shape healthy minds and bodies, and health education that trains future medical professionals are important to a vibrant Fall River community.
Since 2014, we have promoted health and wellness by fostering and supporting activities and programs related to health, wellness, and health education and training by making grants to organizations and to individuals in training for health care related professions.
Just a few of the organizations we are supporting in 2023
- Fall River Youth Soccer Association
- Special Olympics Massachusetts
- Boys & Girls Club of Fall River
- Mass in Motion – Fall River/Bike Fall River
- Fall River YMCA
- Highland Pediatrics Summer Stroll Event
- Fall River Deaconess Home
- Police Athletic League
These community organizations do an excellent job providing opportunities for young people to engage in athletic activity, develop skills and learn and practice team values.
As Marvin D. Berman, M.D., President of the Truesdale Health Foundation, says, “We look at those we support as partners who carry health and wellness forward in the Fall River area. In 2023, we’re again proud to support groups that have proven themselves adept at providing the physical and mental benefits of exercise and sports activity.”
