When you walk into Truesdale Health your temperature will be taken automatically.
Not by a person, but by some super thermal technology.
A fever is a typical symptom of Covid-19. Monitoring temps is a good way to detect this and other illnesses. Similar to the handheld thermometers that a guard at the door may have put to your forehead when you entered a store, our advanced system has compelling benefits.
In collaboration with Southcoast Health, we integrated this thermal technology to provide the safest, most accurate and convenient experience for our patients.
Our system keeps an eye on all who pass by our wall-mounted cameras. While still providing the opportunity for social distancing, the system camera reads the temperature of each person, and alerts an operator if it detects any higher-than-normal temps. A person with a high temp can then be intercepted to maximize the health and welfare of Truesdale patients.
The system is highly sensitive, and can distinguish even minimal differences between people and background temperatures. And if you walk in with a hot coffee, no problem. The smart sensor will ignore the coffee and just read your temperature.
Keeping patients, visitors and staff members safe through advanced technology is something we put into action each day.
